Our new book, ‘Upper Extremity Reconstruction: From Simple to Complex’, has been published.

In our age of rapidly developing science and technology, although books have been largely replaced by the internet and online articles, there is still a need for a basic guide source.

We aimed to make this book as up-to-date and practical as possible by removing it from an encyclopedia-like format. Today, you can access tens of thousands of articles on limb reconstruction online, but this subject needs to be approached algorithmically and holistically, and this information needs to be filtered. We tried to create a modern textbook to get rid of the search for the most accurate article and the most accurate source for every stage of reconstruction.

There are many different textbooks available on the subject of extremity reconstruction, Upper Extremity Reconstruction: From Basic to Complex is a useful reference that explains step by step all reconstructive procedures that can be performed on a trauma patient from the moment they enter the emergency room. The book covers a wide range of information from basic surgical procedures to advanced interventions.

We believe that this book, which has been worked on for more than two years, will be an important resource especially for young researchers and specialist physicians, as well as an important guide that brings together current literature for experienced specialist physicians.

In every possible scenario where the surgeon may encounter problems from the simplest case to the most complicated in upper and lower extremity reconstructions, this book contains solutions that he/she can apply. More than a hundred specialist physicians from all over the world contributed to this book, which was planned as two volumes. How happy we are if we have contributed a drop to the ocean of science…
